Redheads® Extra Long Safety Matches are designed for hard to reach places and a longer burn time. Made from high quality FSC® certified Aspen wood, these 90 mm matches are the longest and thickest in our range, giving you a reliable flame for fireplaces, candles, BBQs, and campfires.

The refill matchbox with strikepad is designed to pair perfectly with the Redheads® Match Tin. It includes 45 extra long matches and a removable strike-pad, allowing you to both refill your matches and replace the strikepad.

The standard refill matchbox includes 90 extra long matches and uses the original Redheads® matchbox format, which the Redheads® Matchbox Sleeve is designed around. The box profile aligns neatly with the Ms Redheads metal cut-out.

Keep away from children. Store away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. Strike gently away from the body. Store in a cool, dry place.

Express delivery is not available for this item as it contains matches, which are restricted from air freight.
Adding this item to your cart will remove express shipping as an option for the whole order.

How to use the refill matchbox

  1. Empty the matches from the box into your tin.
  2. Detach the removable strikepad from the box.
  3. Place the strikepad on the underside of the tin and press it firmly into place.

How to safely light a match

  1. Hold the matchbox in your non-dominant hand, ensuring the striking pad is easily accessible.
  2. Take a match from the box with your dominant hand.
  3. Firmly strike the match against the striking pad, aiming to do so in a downward motion away from your body. This ensures the ignited flame rises safely away from you.
  4. Use firm pressure while striking, but avoid excessive force as the matches are made of natural wood and can break if handled too roughly.
